Transfer from hotel: Depart Sharm el-Sheikh by comfortable tourist bus at night (time varies by hotel location). The bus ride to Taba port takes approximately 3 hours (200 km).
Ferry boat to Jordan: Take a ferry to Aqaba, Jordan. Enjoy stunning views of Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia during the one-hour journey.
Bus to Petra: Enjoy a scenic journey through the Wadi Rum desert to Petra by air-conditioned bus. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours (120 km).
The Siq Canyon: Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Siq canyon. Walk along its winding path, surrounded by magnificent pink rock formations. The journey is 1200 meters long.
Nabatean Theatre: A fascinating blend of Nabataean and Roman architecture, the Petra Amphitheater was constructed in the early 1st century AD. Its rows of seats are carved directly into the rock, while the stage building is made of brick.
Byzantine Church: The church was built around 450 AD on Roman ruins and was a three-aisled basilica. All the aisles in it are paved with miraculously preserved mosaics depicting mythical and real animals.
The Treasury: Presumably, this is a templetomb of a Nabataean king, which was created in the 1st century AD, but no one knows the exact purpose of the structure to this day. In ancient times, the entrance to the treasury was guarded by mythical demigods - the brothers Polulux and Castor, on the second tier there were depicted dancing Amazons with double-sided axes, and the roof was decorated with eagles.
Roman colonnades: The Colonnade Street is an original creation of a group of Arab tribes, one of the main shopping streets of the ancient city. Only fragments of nine of them and part of the street paved by the ancient Romans have survived to this day.
